BRIARBROOK HISTORY
Briarbrook Kennel was founded in 1970. We have been very active in the sport of dogs over the 40 years. Briarbrook has set the records by which others are judged. One of our first great dogs was CH Fieldmasters Three Ring Circus. Nearly every dog that Briarbrook owns today can be traced back to CH Fieldmasters Three Ring Circus.

CH Fieldmasters Three Ring Circus (Bonzo) was a leading sire (ASCA) of his day. One of his Sons CH Fieldmasters Blue Isle Barnstormer surpassed his sire and became the leading sire (ASCA) Barnstormer was Best of Breed at the 1983 ASCA National specialty. Barnstormer and his full brother Ch Briarbrooks Coat of Arms can be found in many of our pedigrees today .Both Barnstormer and Three Ring Circus had very successful show careers however (asca) did not keep records of the Top dogs of the year at that point .( from 76 thru 87)..asca started keeping records on top dogs in 1988.
In 1989 we (Linda Wilson/ Kimber Danner Shields) showed CH Briarbrooks Silver Sequence to the # 1 status in ASCA That same year we also showed CH Briarbrooks Checkmate to the # 2 ranking.
In 1990 we (Linda Wilson/Kimber Danner Shields) again showed Ch Briarbrooks Silver Sequence to the # 1 status in ASCA . Silver defeated over 2200 dogs that year which is still a record held today. Ch Briarbrooks Checkmate was the # 3 dog in 1990
In 1991 we were instrumental in getting Australian Shepherds admitted to AKC. We formed the Untied States Australian Shepherd Association (USASA) which is the AKC parent club. This is one of my most honored achievements in the world of dogs.
Briarbrook Produced a total of 107 ASCA CHs 22 ASCA CDs
CH Briarbrooks Checkmate won a lifetime total of 161 Best of Breeds.

In 1992 we showed in AKC miscellaneous classes at over 50 shows. USASA Held our 1st National Specialty (as a A match) CH Briarbrooks Silver Sequence was BOS. Kimber qualified for Westminster in Jrs.
In 1993 the first year aussies were full status we finished 26 CHS .CH Gefions Synchronicity was # 7 Breed and #9 Group. Kimber qualified for Jrs again. Kimber was the top Jr handler with a herding dog in the nation.
CH Moonlighter of Primrose was #8 Breed and #7 Group
In 1994 we finished 12 CHS CH Briarbrooks Bringin In The Silver was # 4 Breed and # 6 Group. CH Briarbrooks Full Speed Ahead was # 8 Breed and #9 Group. Kimber again qualified for Jrs at Westminster. She was the # 1 Jr with a herding dog and overall #2 Jr in the nation. She qualified for the finals.
In 1995 we finished 22 CHS CH Briarbrooks Bringin In The Silver was # 6 Breed 7 Group. CH Briarbrooks Full Speed Ahead was # 5 Breed and # 8 Group.

In 1996 we finished 23 CHs. our new special for the year was Kaleidoscope Case In Point who was co bred by Briarbrook. "CASEY " was # 2 Breed and # 3 in group; Ch Briarbrooks Full Speed Ahead # 5 Breed and # 6 In Group.. CH Briarbrooks Silver Bells was Winners Bitch and Best Of Winners at the USASA National Specialty..

In 1997 we finished 21 CHs. CASEY was #2 In Breed and #4 in Group. CASEYS Daughter CH Briarbrooks Case Closed Was #10 In Breed And # 9 In Group. CH Briarbrooks Full Speed Ahead was # 3 In Breed and # 2 in Group. CH Briarbrooks Paparazzi was Reserve Winners Bitch at the USASA National Specialty. CH Briarbrooks Dealin in Silver was Best of breed Sweepstakes at the USASA National Specialty.. Ch Briarbrooks Silverberry was Best Opposite Sex Sweepstakes at the USASA National Specialty.

In 2000 CH Briarbrooks Quicksilver was # 1 IN Breed And #2 In group. Ch Briarbrooks Turning Point was #3 in Breed and # 5 in Group. We retired CASEY from active showing he has 184 Best of Breeds. Caseys Son CH Briarbrooks Turning Point was our next Special.

CH BRIARBROOKS VALEDICTORIAN WAS THE # 1 SIRE... AND BECAME THE LEADING SIRE OF ALL TIME.
LINDA WILSON (BRIARBROOK) WAS THE #1 BREEDER IN THE NATION.
In 2002 BRIARBROOKS DEBUTANTE WAS THE # 1DAM IN THE NATION
In 2003 CH BRIARBROOKS QUICKSILVER WAS BEST OF BREED AT WESTMINSTER. BRIARBROOKS FINAL ANSWER WAS WINNERS DOG AT THE USASA NATIONAL SPECIALTY.
In 2004 CH BRIARBROOKS IM TOO SEXY winning groups and is ranked in the top 10 in the nation. Kimber who had taken some time off to get married and start a family returned to showing. She took over handing the dogs at the shows.Kimber finished 4 CHS they were all bred by Briarbrook.

In 2005 Kimber finished 7 CHS they were all bred by Briarbrook.
In 2006 Kimber finished 10 CHs 7 were Briarbrook CHS.
In 2007 Kimber finished 13 CHS
In 2008 Kimber finished 12 CHS COPYRIGHT WAS 1ST AWARD OF MERIT AT THE NATIONAL SPECIALTY. COPYRIGHT WAS AWARD OF MERIT AT WESTMINSTER. COPYRIGHT WAS THE # 1 SIRE OF THE BREED IN 2008
In 2009 Kimber finished 10 CHS COPYRIGHT was BEST OF BREED AT WESTMINSTER. COPYRIGHT BECAME A ROM 3 SIRE. COPYRIGHT RANKED AS # 2 in breed and #2 in all breed
In 2010 Copyright was Best in Specialty Breed at the DFWASC show and was retired .Briarbrooks Stephen S Austin was Reserve Winners Dog at the DFWASC specialty .In May AKC Started a new program for Champions, called Grand Champion. CH Briarbrooks Gold Credit was the 8th dog to earn his Grand CH title. CH Briarbrooks Talk Show Host was the 10th dog to earn his Grand Championship title. They were awarded special medals for this. In the fall we showed Copyright to earn his Grand Championship He finished his Grand in 9shows. Kimber finished 13 CHS and 2 GCHs. Briarbrook is the breeder of 8 GCHs
In 2011 GCH Briarbrooks Formal affair was Best Opposite sex at the DFWASC specialty. BRIARBROOKS BUSY AS BEE WAS Winners Bitch AT THE gwasc SPECIALTY. CH Briarbrooks Stephen S Austin finished his Grand Championship and was a group winner. Kimber finished 7 CHS and 5GCHS At the National
